On the site of the "Bowl Mill" we have restored the old farmhouse, built
in the 1830’s and used for many years to domicile the Bowl Mill
employees, into our retail store. Before the farmhouse was remodeled we
sold a few bowls out of the cull barn because we found that once people
had toured the mill and seen the bowl being turned, they wanted to buy
one to take home. We used to get 3,000 to 4,000 people stopping in to
see the mill during the summer and ski season. Since we opened our Bowl
Mill Store, we get 10,000 to 12,000 people a year visiting our mill
site.
The Bowl Mill Store specializes in products of Vermont, such as our
hardwood bowls, other Woodenware, Specialty foods and other gifts.
The Country Antique Store contains a large collection of treasures from
the past
The Bowl Mill Factory Rejects are unfinished bowls that do not "make the
grade." Many people spend hours sorting through the piles of hardwood
bowls to find the bowl in the size and hardwood species that makes it
special to them.
