The series of solid wood bowls ranging in size from 8in. to 20in. in diameter are made from a single piece of premium hardwood in Vermont. The nests of wood bowls are made on 19th century equipment and finished on 20th century "Rube Goldberg" type sanding equipment. Each bowl inherits the unique grain of each tree which contains a history of the weather, climate, and soil conditions experienced during its growth cycle. This bowl features a new finish with a mineral oil finish on the inside and Red, Green, or Blue Lacquer on the backside of the bowl. The bowls available are the 12"{shown}, 14-1/2"{shown}, or a 17" Maple bowls with the 11"{shown} and 14" {shown} Fork & Paddles. The 12" bowl will serve 2-4 people, the 14-1/2" bowl will serve 6-8 people, and the 17" bowl will serve a crowd. |
